Eligibility
We serve residents in Chemung County who are homebound (physically unable to go to a nutrition site), recovering from an injury or illness, disabled, physically unable to prepare meals, or lack the facilities to do so. The cost of this service is $4.50 a day for one hot meal. If you would like, we also make available a cold light supper that includes a sandwich, side item, dessert and milk for an additional $2.00. The Office of the Aging may be able to help those over age of 60 with payment. There is a sliding fee based on income available, and food stamps are accepted. However, no one will be refused service due to their inability to pay.
Referrals
Anyone may request our service: the person in need, relatives, friends, social service agencies, nurses, physicians or hospital personnel.
