The 3rd Annual Night At The Races was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make our fund raising event such a success. Thank you to our staff, volunteers and Board Members worked hard to prepare for the event, our corporate sponsors and everyone in attendance who helped us raise over $15,000.
We received dozens of compliments about the quality of the food and that was the biggest improvement from our inaugural event. A big THANK YOU goes out to the staff and volunteers of Meals on Wheels who prepared the food and desserts for the event. You did a great job.
Staff, Board Members and Volunteers prepare the food for A Night At The Races which was held on March 10, 2007 at the Elmira Heights American Legion. The picture on the left shows Sharon, Tom, Harriet preparing the meal. On the right, (front to back) Addie, Judy and Karen work to make sure everything is prepared in time for our guests.
Michelle and Walt make the room look festive for our guests.
This is part of the large crowd that attended the event.
The Dessert Bar was outstanding--looked great and tasted better than it looked.
Addie Kelly sells raffle tickets for baskets during the event.
Emcee (and Board President) Peter Wallin did a great job again this year of keeping the evening rolling along and entertaining everyone. Pete is shown here with Board Member Joanne Conley.
A very special thanks to our Corporate Sponsors of A Night At The Races event. Your donations and your continued support of Meals on Wheels of Chemung County are so very important to our continued success. Our sponsors donated cash, door prizes and good & services to help make our event a success.
