That is 6 million seniors!
NYS is 28th in the country for food insecurity.
50% of NYS Seniors live at or below the poverty level.
60 – 64 year olds are at the highest risk!
Hunger is far more widespread and closer then we realize!

is:
18 Routes covering Chemung County
Over 200 Volunteers giving over 17, 040 hours last year to help prepare, package and deliver the meals.

Welcome to Meals on Wheels!
Since October 26, 1970 Meals on Wheels has existed solely for the purpose of making sure no senior goes hungry in Chemung County. Each day volunteers and staff come together to prepare, package and deliver meals to the areas homebound and disabled.
Volunteers are needed in the following areas:
Horseheads Route #24 - Village
Need Driver and Delivery Person Tuesdays
Driver and Delivery Person needed:
Thurs. Route #11 - Downtown
