SCHEDULE: MONDAY – FRIDAY 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM (LATER IF NEEDED)
Occasional Saturday during fundraisers
SUPERVISOR: OFFICE MANAGER OR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Keep and Update client dietary records, both manually and computerized (ServTracker)
Tabulate daily meal counts, including diets for kitchen staff.
Prepare kitchen labels for hot meals and bags for cold meals, as needed.
Update route changes as needed with cooperation of other staff and volunteers involved.
Assist in taking client referrals.
Return phone calls left on answering machine.
Maintain office supply and order as necessary.
Communicate with staff and volunteers regarding client changes and other pertinent information, including updating daily labels, bags, kitchen paperwork, etc.
Follow through with returned meals, making calls to emergency contacts, OFA, etc.
Perform duties associated with accounts receivable for clients and donations.
Perform other clerical duties as needed: i.e. run labels, make copies, filing.
Help recruit volunteers for routes and find subs if necessary.
Help deliver routes if need arises.
Pack the cold meal line – ensuring proper diets are served, if needed.
Attend appropriate assigned meetings and trainings.
Any other task as necessary to ensure the efficient operation of Meals on Wheels.
EDUCATION: minimum High School Diploma, with some business/secretarial course work preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS and ABILITIES:
